Position: Sea Freight Export Operator
Location: Denton, Manchester
Hours: Monday - Friday 09:00 - 17:30 (Some flexibility may be required)
Salary: Up to 30,000 (DOE)
We are currently recruiting for one of the largest privately owned international freight forwarding companies that operate from 9 locations in the UK.
We are seeking a Sea Freight Export Operator to join our client's dynamic team, arranging international shipments by sea (LCL and FCL).
The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating the exportation of Less than Container Loads (LCL) and Full Container Loads (FCL) shipments via sea freight. You must have a background in freight forwarding operations, with experience dealing with LCL & FCL sea freight exports and customs clearance procedures.
Your key responsibilities as a Sea Freight Export Operator:
- Complete start-to-finish import consignments via sea freight
- Responsible for the day-to-day running of allocated LCL & FCL export trades
- Global exports
- Track and update shipment statutes in the company's system and provide regular updates to clients
- Complete export customs declarations via CDS
- Ensure compliance with export regulations
- Developing good working relationships with shipping lines, overseas agents, hauliers and our other branches
- Experience in other modes desirable
