Job Title: Import Clerk
Location: South Manchester
Job Type: Full-time office based
Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 DOE
Reed Procurement are currently working in partnership with a well established and busy freight forwarding business located in South Manchester, who are now looking to recruit an Import Clerk on a permanent basis. This is a great opportunity to take on a fully operational focused position, within a fast paced and well run business.
Responsibilities:
- Handle end-to-end import operations for both Air Freight and Ocean Freight
- Coordinate with carriers, freight agents, and other service providers to ensure smooth cargo movement
- Process customs clearances efficiently
- Booking jobs & providing quotes
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams
Requirements:
- Previous experience in import operations within the freight forwarding industry
- Proficiency in handling Air Freight and Ocean Freight imports
- Strong knowledge of customs regulations and procedures
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently
