Your new firmThis is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established firm in the heart of Manchester city centre who have an all-round approach to accountancy specialising in accounting, taxation, business support and payroll. They have a varied client base for you gain experience from, ranging from medical clients to property working with turnovers up to £2 million. Due to internal growth within the firm, they are now seeking a semi-senior accountant to assist the accounts team.Your new roleYou will be placed in a successful and talented team of accounts professionals. Your day-to-day duties will involve preparing year-end financial statements for clients whilst building long-lasting relationships with them and helping them when required. You will be calculating corporation and personal tax liabilities, whilst forming tax planning ideas. You will also be continuing your own personal progress to achieve and be successful in your ACCA/ACA qualifications. This will consist of shadowing peers and asking questions to further this knowledge. Supporting your managers and seniors to deliver advice will also be expected of you, along with supporting juniors beneath you.What you'll need to succeedIn order to succeed in this role, prior practice experience will be required, having 3 years' minimum. In terms of your qualifications, you will need to be AAT qualified or part qualified in either your ACCA or ACA professional qualifications. Other personal qualities will be required of you. These consist of good time management, being personable and showing a willingness to learn.What you'll get in returnIn return, you will be offered a competitive salary ranging from £24,000 to £29,000 DOE, whilst having the opportunity to join a growing independent practice where you can really benefit your career in accountancy.
