The role involves installing complex wiring harnesses, performing electrical and avionics work, and requires previous experience as an Avionic Mechanic along with an engineering apprenticeship, ideally in aeronautical engineering. The position offers a competitive salary, 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, and additional benefits such as life assurance and pension contributions. Working hours are Monday to Friday with two shift options: 7.00-3.30pm or 3.00-11.30pm. Candidates must have the right to live and work in the UK and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

JMC Aviation are working with a MRO company based in Manchester, looking to recruit new B2 (Avionic) Mechanics to join their team.

This business is a leading MRO dealing with base maintenance as well as interior modifications and fuel systems repair and maintenance for both commercial and military aircraft. The company has been operating for close to 30 years, providing outstanding customer service and encouraging a warm, positive environment to aid employee progression.

This is a Permanent Position based in Manchester.
Working Monday - Friday, with two options of shift: 7.00- 3.30pm or 3.00- 11.30pm.

The Role

The primary purpose of this role is to install complex wiring harnesses and modifications to existing wiring, within Avionic shelves and panels


Other duties involve:

  • Full removal and strip of equipment
  • All aspects of electrical and avionics work
  • Wiring termination and testing
  • Removing and installing of various shelves, panels and equipment
  • Loom manufacturing and testing
  • Assisting with systems tests


Skills and experience required.

In order to be successful in this role the Avionic Mechanic will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

  • Right to live and work in the UK
  • Previous experience as an Avionic Mechanic
  • Completed an engineering apprenticeship, ideally in aeronautical engineering or military equivalent
