Our client is a leading defendant insurance practice well regarded for its corporate, commercial and regulatory legal advice to healthcare providers. It is a heavyweight Legal 500 firm looking to improve its clinical and medical negligence offering. The firm acts for the MDU, NHS Trusts & Resolution and is growing and investing heavily into improving its standing in the sector.

Role Responsibilities

  • Handle a caseload of defendant clinical negligence work ranging in value from £10k to multi-million pound complex claims
  • Provide commercially focussed advice to clients
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff where possible
  • Writing articles for publication both for in-house and external publications

Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Solicitor is essential – CILEX candidates are unfortunately not be considered for this role
  • Candidates will ideally have some exposure to defendant clinical or medical negligence work
  • Candidates with defendant EL/PL experience can be considered for this role if they have a real desire and passion to work within a clinical negligence environment
  • Strong academics, minimum 2:1 at University and A levels at B+
  • Bright, personable with a keenness and desire to push their career forward
