Job Description:

As a Construction Buyer, you will play a crucial role in the procurement process, ensuring that all materials and services required for the construction projects are sourced efficiently and cost-effectively. You will collaborate closely with project managers, suppliers, and subcontractors to secure the best deals and maintain strong relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source and procure materials, equipment, and services for construction projects.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Manage supplier relationships and ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory.
  • Collaborate with project managers to forecast material requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Resolve any issues or discrepancies with suppliers.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Construction Buyer or similar role in the construction industry.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Knowledge of construction materials and suppliers.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid UK driving license.
