Job Description:
As a Construction Buyer, you will play a crucial role in the procurement process, ensuring that all materials and services required for the construction projects are sourced efficiently and cost-effectively. You will collaborate closely with project managers, suppliers, and subcontractors to secure the best deals and maintain strong relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source and procure materials, equipment, and services for construction projects.
- Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Manage supplier relationships and ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory.
- Collaborate with project managers to forecast material requirements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Resolve any issues or discrepancies with suppliers.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Construction Buyer or similar role in the construction industry.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Knowledge of construction materials and suppliers.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Valid UK driving license.
