A highly regarded and award winning law firm are currently looking to recruit an experienced Costs Lawyer to join their in-house costs team to deal with a mixture of Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence cost matters, of both fast track and multi-track values.
Location - South Manchester (Hybrid working available)
Salary - £30,000 - £50,000 DOE
Benefits - Bonus scheme, flexible working, 23 days holiday plus bank holidays rising to 26 days with length of service, onsite gym, private medical, employee assistance programme, onsite gym and active social committee

The role
- Handling own caseload
- Negotiating settlement of costs in litigated and non-litigated claimant personal injury cases.
- Advising fee earners regarding costs disputes and assisting with their own negotiations.
- Preparation of summary assessment schedules, breakdowns of costs at case conclusion and formal bills where detailed assessment or Part 8 proceedings are required.
- Drafting replies to Points of Dispute.
- Drafting Budgets.
- Advocacy / attending CCMC’s.
- Budget Revision Work.
Experience required
- A minimum of 12 months experience working within fast track/multi track personal injury claimant costs
- Experience of attending CCMC on behalf of the Claimant.
- Experience of holding budget discussions.
