About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled Credit Hire Specialist to manage a pre-litigation caseload. In this role, you'll work independently to negotiate settlements and manage liability, using your expertise and knowledge of case law to achieve the best outcomes for clients. You will be responsible for reviewing file recoverability, assessing costs, and engaging in proactive negotiations with third-party insurers.

As part of the role, you'll have the opportunity to attend strategy meetings, provide feedback to clients, and collaborate with the litigation team when necessary. Your daily tasks will be managed through our bespoke case management system, ensuring that every file is handled with care and precision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage your own pre-litigation credit hire caseload, negotiating settlements and liability
  • Review file recoverability and outlay, ensuring accuracy in all claims
  • Engage in proactive telephone and email negotiations with third-party insurers
  • Adhere to recovery guidelines and exercise delegated authority where applicable
  • Attend strategy meetings and provide clients with regular updates and advice
  • Effectively progress claims to settlement or transition to litigation when needed
  • Manage daily tasks using our case management system to optimise file management
