We're working with a leading SaaS software company in Manchester, and they're looking for a Delivery Lead to oversee the smooth delivery of multiple projects across their growing portfolio. About the Client:Our client is a well-established SaaS provider focused on delivering cutting-edge software solutions that help businesses streamline their operations and boost efficiency. They have an expanding portfolio of projects, and they need a Delivery Lead who can manage, optimise, and drive success across these initiatives.

The Delivery Lead role:As the Delivery Lead, you'll be responsible for managing the delivery of a portfolio of projects, using your expertise in agile frameworks to ensure consistent, predictable outcomes. You'll collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align expectations, manage risks, and continuously improve team performance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Agile Project Delivery: Lead the end-to-end delivery of multiple projects, applying agile principles to ensure timelines, scope, and goals are met.
  • Stakeholder Management: Communicate effectively with stakeholders to manage expectations, clarify project scope, and ensure alignment on timelines and business outcomes.
  • Dependency Management: Identify and mitigate external dependencies, working with partners and suppliers to minimise delays and risks.
  • Delivery Metrics & Performance: Regularly assess delivery performance, using key metrics to track progress, fine-tune team velocity, and ensure continuous improvement.
  • Backlog Management: Drive the creation and maintenance of detailed backlogs, ensuring that project tasks are appropriately sized, estimated, and prioritised for optimal delivery.
  • Transparency: Ensure visibility across all teams and stakeholders by maintaining transparent delivery metrics and keeping everyone aligned on progress.

Delivery Lead - Essential Skills:

  • Proven experience managing project delivery in an agile environment, with a deep understanding of agile frameworks and project management artefacts.
  • A hands-on technical background, ideally with experience in .NET, which allows you to effectively collaborate with development teams and provide valuable insights on technical challenges.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to set clear expectations and keep everyone on track.
  • A passion for continuous improvement, with a focus on enhancing team velocity, delivery metrics, and overall performance.
