They are looking for a qualified and experienced Deputy Head of Department to promote the highest levels of achievement for all students through the promotion of inspirational teaching and learning. To lead, develop and monitor the curriculum.

An exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher to join the Digital Department at a Further Education College in the position of Deputy Head of Department.

The ideal candidate
  • Will lead on curriculum development and delivery, monitor and report on KPIs, whilst promoting high quality standards across our digital curriculum.
  • Be teaching within the Computing and IT team and should have a good working knowledge of vocational and T-Level qualifications and have great skills in Programming and Maths for Computing.
  • It is desirable that applicants have relevant industry experience and a solid network of industry professionals.
  • An excellent understanding of Computer Science and its subfields and the ability to teach for exam success.
  • Prior experience of delivering vocational qualifications such as BTEC and/or OCR Nationals.
  • The successful candidate must have an absolute commitment to standards and delivering an outstanding experience and outcome for learners.
  • You will be committed to excellence in teaching and learning with a demonstrable track record.
  • Hold a teaching qualification, PGCE or equivalent and degree
