Tradewind are recruiting for an experienced Designated Safeguarding Lead!

Position: Designated Safeguarding Lead (no leadership responsibility).

Location: Manchester.

Setting: Primary Pupil Referral Unit.

Contract: Start Jan 2025, 1 year maternity cover.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am-4pm.

Pay: Excellentpay up to £230/day for the first 12 weeks - DOE.

Equal pay to permanent staff in similar role from 13th week onward, on a pro-rata daily rate basis.Paid PAYE via Tradewind, we don't use umbrella companies!

Easily accessible by train, car or bus.

Essential requirements:

DSL qualification

3 years DSL experience

Ability to work full time 8:30am-4pm

Due to the nature of the pupils from vulnerable backgrounds & with challenging behaviours they are looking for a DSL who has at least 3 years experience behind them and someone who is passionate about supporting the most vulnerable young people in ou community. You will need to be resilient and determined to persevere through various obstacles.

  • DSL qualification.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a DSL role.
  • An enhanced DBS certificate (or be happy to apply for a new one).
  • Minimum of 2 professional references.
  • Provide a CV with a full history.
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK.
  • Overseas Police checks (if applicable).
