Skilled Careers are Recruiting on behalf of an established and leading Heating Contractor who are on the lookout for qualified Self Employed Gas Engineers to carry out the Repairs of domestic gas boilers within the social housing sector. Engineers can expect around £1500 per week.

Job Role:
As a Self Employed Gas Engineer, you will be required to diagnose faults, repair and maintain Gas Boilers within domestic properties. This will include:

  • Identifying where there is a fault and rectify accordingly.
  • Replacing parts within gas boilers.
  • Ordering parts if required
  • Typically completing 8-10 jobs per day.


In order to be considered for this role, the ideal Gas Engineer must:

  • CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1
  • Have been qualified for at least 2 years with a proven and demonstrable background within the Gas industry
  • Have their own Van, Public Liability Insurance (£2m) and Calibrated Flue Gas Analyser
  • Be able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ideally would have previous experience working within the social housing sector as a Gas Engineer.
