Service Care Solutions are looking for a Gas Assessor to work within a skills company in Manchester on a permanent basis.Location: TraffordJob role/responsibilities: To develop and deliver continually improved training to multiple funding streams to achieve outcomes for customers through the development of their knowledge, skills, behaviours & attitudes.

  • Participate in open evenings, taster days, IAG, and employer engagement activities to meet personal targets and maintain study programme, adult, SSW, and apprenticeship caseloads.
  • Plan and design face-to-face and blended curriculum to foster the retention of Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviors (KSB).
  • Mark and assess student work, provide feedback, and set development objectives with key stakeholders.
  • Use learners' vocational and personal starting points to set collaborative targets, ensuring all stakeholders are committed to supporting learner progress.
  • Regularly review learner progress and achievement with key stakeholders.
  • Track KSB progress and risk-band learners' timely progress using support tools to prevent disadvantage.
  • Review stakeholder feedback to enhance learner and employer engagement for curriculum improvements.
  • Stay familiar with learner commitment statements, diagnostics, and end-point assessments to safeguard learner success.
  • Engage in self-assessment and improvement processes, supporting retention, attendance, achievement, stakeholder satisfaction, and positive outcomes.
  • Undertake and log industrial and pedagogical CPD.
  • Support team development through internal quality assurance activities, such as observations, work sampling, and EQA reviews.

Knowledge/Experience required:

  • At least 5 years vocational industry experience in specialist subject area
  • Experience of teaching and learning quality standards especially OFSTED
  • At least 1-2 years within teaching, learning and assessment.
  • Ability to use MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Ability to use a variety of digital systems and eLearning platforms to direct and support learners.
  • Up to date knowledge of specialist subject area/professional qualifications as appropriate
  • Have or are working towards a Diploma in Education and Training or equivalent qualification.
  • Knowledge of health and safety responsibilities and procedures, including emergency evacuation.
