Governance Lead – 12-month Fixed Term Contract Preferably Manchester, Open to London or Nottingham - Hybrid Working Competitive Salary plus benefits Role The Delivery Office is at the forefront of ensuring that all projects and changes within the business are not only well-governed but also deliver exceptional value. This is not your typical PMO role; we are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can orchestrate the prioritisation of projects and resources, aligning them with our strategic business objectives. As a key player in our team, you will thrive in an environment where ambiguity is the norm, and speed is essential. Your solution-focused mindset will be crucial as you manage existing processes while leading the transition to new, innovative ways of working. What will you be doing? ·      Championing our ever-evolving Delivery Framework: Ensure adherence, maintenance, monitoring, and updating of all program details, including: o  Timelines o  Resource levels o  Risk and issue logs o  Reports o  Document Review cycles o  Assumptions and dependencies o  Stage gate reviews o  Additional PMO activities as required ·      Resource Management Expertise: Provide vital support in: o  Quarterly forecasting and resource allocation o  Analysis of resource utilization o  Tracking vacancies and contracts o  Managing onboarding, offboarding, and inductions o  Allocating OCAT to programs ·      Insight-Driven Reporting: Not just running reports, but identifying insights and driving actionable improvements in: o  Delivery status o  Lessons learned o  Continuous improvement initiatives o  Other reporting activities as necessary ·      KPI Awareness and Support: Contribute to monitoring and supporting key performance indicators that drive our success. What are we looking for? ·      2+ years’ experience in a programme or project related field (e.g. project manager, senior PMO) ·      Self-starter with ‘can do’ approach, able to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. ·      Exceptional organisation skills, with the ability to being flexible and adaptive, pivoting priorities to meet multiple conflicting project demands. ·      Strong communication both written and verbal and collaboration skills – ability to work effectively across internal and external teams. We always focus on the Why on every new engagement. ·      Ability to influence and drive improvements to project quality and ensure alignment with DCC standards and methodology. ·      Demonstrable experience of working in a similar programme and project environment within a technology industry ·      Competent in using Microsoft suite of tools including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Excel, Teams and working knowledge of MS Project Desirable ·      Experience of using a PPM toolset to manage plans, resources, risks and issues. ·      Knowledge of project management practice.
