- P&L Management: Owning the customer P&L, the Head of Sales – Tesco / Discounters should monitor revenues, costs and expenses to ensure profitability. They should also take necessary corrective actions if desired financial outcomes are not being achieved. Manage trade and promotion investment closely and continuously aiming to improve return on investment and drivecustomer profitability.
- Sales Management: Overseeing their accounts, the Head of Sales – Tesco / Discounters is accountable for ensuring sales targets and key performance indicators are met through the development of annual business plans. Manage and build excellent customer, partner and stakeholder relationships making Jack Link a trusted long-term business partner. This also includes resolving any significant issue that may arise within these relationships.
- Marketing Partnership: Partnering with the Marketing and the Trade Marketing team to successfully implement Marketing strategies that increase brand awareness and market share.
- Sales & Operations Planning: Provide accurate sales forecasts in cooperation with the S&OP team and continuously striving for improvement of sales related processes.
- Leadership and Development - Responsible for obtaining profitable results by developing their team through motivation, mentoring, skills development and product knowledge development. They must also maintain a positive and motivating work environment.
- Performance Management: Responsible for monitoring the performance of the team, through reports and communication involving sales reports, recurring sales meetings and performance assessments.
- Reporting and Analytics: The Head of Sales – Tesco / Discounters should use data-driven insights to guide business strategies and decisions. Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts to ELT and senior management detailing how sales goals will be met.
- Corrective Action: Monitor and adjust where needed the business performance through reports and communication involving sales reports, recurring sales meetings and customer assessments.
- Relationship Management: Develop excellent relationship and cooperation with Marketing, Customer Service, Planning & Finance, also by being a participant and contributor to the County Business Team
