Position: Housing Disrepair SolicitorLocation: Manchester City Centre Job Responsibilities:
  • Case Management: Manage a caseload of approximately 60 housing disrepair cases. Previous experience in handling similar matters is essential.
  • Client Management: Maintain client records and communications through Proclaim and Zoho Case Management systems. Ensure clients are updated from the initial enquiry to case resolution.
  • Liaison: Work with disrepair surveyors, associations, housing providers, including city councils. Instruct experts and counsel as necessary.
  • Client Care: Provide exceptional client service, showing empathy, particularly for vulnerable or distressed clients.
  • Business Development: Assist in the growth of the department, contributing to its ongoing development.
  • Time Management: Exhibit excellent organizational and communication skills, both internally and externally.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Experience: Previous housing disrepair case handling experience is required.
  • Client Focused: Strong client service skills with a duty of care.
  • Communication: Clear, prompt communication is essential, both within the team and with clients.
  • Empathy: A caring, empathetic approach, particularly when dealing with vulnerable clients.
