Kafka Engineer - AWS - Public Sector - SC clearance - 6 months (inside IR35)
I am working with a well known consultancy who are looking for an experienced Kafka Engineer delivering ongoing solutions. The role involves building, improving, and scaling a robust streaming data platform for their Public Sector client. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of strong technical skills, a deep understanding of Kafka, distributed systems, and excellent communication abilities.Due to the nature of the client, candidates with active SC clearance or eligibility for SC clearance are preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable streaming data platforms using Kafka.
- Improve and optimise existing data streaming solutions.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data streaming and distributed systems.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
Core Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in big data or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of Kafka and other big data technologies.
- AWS Platform experience.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java or Python.
- Solid understanding of distributed systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
