MFL Teacher - Manchester

We are specifically working with a 'Good' secondary school in Manchester looking for a MFL Teacher, who are working exclusively with ourselves, to join them teaching key stage 3 & 4 September 2024, on an ongoing basis, likely to be for the full academic year on a full-time basis.

You will be required to become fully involved within the department & school, like a permanent member of staff, and attend departmental meetings when required, and be available for parents' evenings as well as planning and delivering captivating, high standard lessons that will stretch the pupils in their learning. You will also be required to mark the work and provide feedback along the way, in tandem with AfL.

The role will be open to newly qualified teachers (ECT) as well as teachers who have more experience, we pay from M1 to M6 (sometimes we can also pay through threshold if you have done so, depending on the role).

The school achieved a 'Good' from Ofsted and had outstanding features showing the strong leadership in the school. The school has a drive to push a love for learning and to keep progressing, with an understanding of the latest technological and innovation developments and their impact on the world Their curriculum allows an equality of opportunity for all pupils, regardless of starting point or perceived barrier. It is progressive, interleaved and sequenced to develop literacy and numeracy for all pupils.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree educated with a good classification
  • Secondary QTS (PGCE, SCITT, B.Ed, QTS, etc)
  • KS4 French
  • Previous experience working with young people (which we can reference)
  • Experience of teaching in a Secondary School (which we can reference)
  • Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, we can provide the training)
  • Up to date Prevent awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential, again, we can provide the training)
  • Up to date behaviour management & FGM training (essential, however, training can be provided).

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

Hold Right to Work in the UK

Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application at a cost of £45.80.

Provide a minimum of two professional references.
