Calling all level 3 qualified technicians within Manchester

  • Immediately required
  • Mechanical modifications 
  • Days, Monday to Friday 
  • £28.38 per hour (Inside IR35)
  • 45 hours 
  • Contract to March 2025

The Situation

Technicians required to complete mechanical installation and modifications to trains, ensuring underframe components, anti-roll bars and doors installations are completed. 

Ideally you will also have an electrical appreciation and be able to complete electrical wiring and crimping to components within the train. 

This is a hands-on position as you will be responsible for making sure all trains are ready to enter service helping to reduce delays and cancellations

The Candidate

  • You must have previous experience carrying out mechanical maintenance and modifications 
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical/ Electromechanical Engineering
  • Electrical skillset, completing re-wiring and crimping 
  • Able to interpret electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematic diagrams
  • Previous experience of working on pneumatic components 

Essential

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent minimum qualification in a relevant subject
  • Previous experience of mechanical repairs and modifications 
  • Must have previous engineering experience
