Are you a Multiskilled Engineer with a mechanical bias? Or maybe a Mechanical Engineer with some electrical knowledge? We're looking for a loyal and ambitious Multiskilled Engineer to join a reputable business in Bury.

You should have a minimum of 2 years solid experience as an engineer within a manufacturing environment; you don't need to know their machinery, just a willingness to learn and the desire to stay with a business for a long time.

About You

  • You should have at least 2 years experience as a Mechanical / Multiskilled Engineer.
  • It's essential that you are apprentice trained and have at least an NVQ Level 3 qualification - in addition, a HND would be highly desirable.
  • Joining a small but tight-knit team, you'll be friendly, sociable and hardworking.
  • You'll have the experience and ability to maintain and install machinery - one of your team is a dab-hand at designing new machinery and equipment and you'll help to bring the designs to life!
  • Ideally you'll have welding skills and be able to operate milling and lathe machines.
  • Experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, AC/DC drives, motors and inverters is required.
  • If you have 18th edition wiring regs, that's a huge bonus, as are PLC skills.

About The Job

  • You'll join as a Multiskilled Engineer with a bias in mechanical engineering.
  • You will be a part of a strong team of 5 and will have a great Manager; they compliment each other in the way they work.
  • Whilst you're contracted hours are Monday to Friday, days only, they do expect some flexibility if a breakdown occurs; you'll also be on call 1 in 3 weeks.
  • Your responsibilities include reactive and planned maintenance of site machinery and equipment.
  • You'll also provide electrical and mechanical maintenance of the building.
  • You may need to collect parts / equipment from suppliers so will therefore need a driving licence.
  • It's a very busy but laid back environment.
