Multi skilled Engineer

Monday - Friday: 8.00AM - 16.00PM

Annual Salary of between £40,000 and £44,000 DOE

Day to Day Duties

As a Multi skilled Engineer your duties will be: 

  • Carrying out electrical and mechanical PPM activities in accordance with set schedules, ensuring engineering standards are maintained to maximize the operational effectiveness and reliability of the Plant and associated systems.
  • Ensuring on-site Quality Assurance procedures are adhered to in all respects and maintaining accurate records/documentation associated with the PPM and plant maintenance, aiming to achieve and maintain standards of quality compatible with ISO 9002.
  • Responding promptly and effectively to all electrical and mechanical-related reactive maintenance issues.
  • Diagnosing and repairing faults in electrical and mechanical systems, including pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, motors, sensors, and control systems.
  • Coordinating visiting specialist sub-contractors associated with electrical and mechanical aspects of the PPM schedules.
  • Conducting fault diagnosis and repairs on systems including Heating, Ventilation, and Building Services.
  • Assisting with the installation, modification, or commissioning of new equipment as required.
  • Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety regulations and company policies.
  • Completing accurate time-sheets and reports as required by management.
  • Adhering to security policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as requested.

Essential Skills

It is essential as a Multi skilled Engineer that you: 

  • Completion of a nationally recognized electrical or mechanical apprenticeship.
  • 18th Edition wiring regulations (or equivalent).
  • Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Desirable Experience

It would be desirable as a Multi skilled Engineer if you: 

  • HNC/HND in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical).
  • PLC fault-finding or programming qualification.
  • NEBOSH or IOSH qualification.

What training is provided?

  • Company policy and procedure training is provided
