.NET Developer – Backend .NET

Location: Greater Manchester (Hybrid) | Salary: Up to £60,000

Xpertise are looking for an experienced .NET Developer to join a well-established financial services company. This role is backend-focused and centres on Business as Usual (BAU) development, maintaining and improving existing systems to ensure stability, performance, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain, enhance, and support existing backend applications built with the .NET Framework
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues to minimise system downtime
Optimise database performance and ensure data integrity in SQL Server
Work closely with stakeholders to understand system requirements and deliver effective solutions
Ensure code quality and maintainability through best engineering practices
Contribute to system documentation and knowledge sharing within the team

Ideal Candidate

Extensive experience with .NET Framework
Solid understanding of API development, background services, and batch processing
Experience working in a BAU environment, troubleshooting, and maintaining complex legacy systems
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git)
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
