Salary: Up to 36,000
We have an exciting opportunity for an Ocean Freight Export Operator to join a well-established freight forwarder renowned for their expertise in air, road, sea, and warehousing services. As the Ocean Freight Export Operator, you'll play a crucial role in our team, ensuring that every shipment is handled seamlessly. You'll oversee the end-to-end process of ocean import logistics, from tracking shipments and managing documentation to coordinating with customs and resolving any issues that arise. Responsibilities
- Oversee & Independently handle shipments in the role of Ocean freight Exports in accordance with quality standards, including documentation, booking, shipment control, transport insurance, accounting, and customs handling
- Provide customer support in conjunction with the Sales Department, including occasional client visits when required
- Handle complaints in line with BIFA Terms and Conditions, including correct KPI recording
- Communicate with our UK, Overseas offices, and agents
- Focus on ensuring the most cost-effective service solutions are being utilized without risk to service levels
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years' experience working within Freight forwarding(UK based)
- Previous experience in Ocean freight
- Handling shipments start to finish
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
