If you are an experienced outerwear designer with a strong background in Casual and Formal jackets across ladies wear and menswear this role would be ideal for you. Working for my client a leading supplier to several large fashion UK retailers. This role will be working for one of their major accounts who are one of the largest fashions forward retailers. A commercial young trend led design portfolio is required for this role with relevant experience and a strong technical understanding along with the ability to work in a commercial fast paced environment . Previous supplier experience is required for this role. Some travel Bangladesh to factories will be required , this role offers 1 day working from home ..
Main Duties and responsibilities will include.
- Complete trend research, design and develop ranges working with the overseas factories.
- Visit factories in Bangladesh to ensure all samples are correct when requires
- Ability to create bestselling ranges.
- Attend regular meetings with buyers when required.
- Upload detailed tech packs to the PLM system to send to Factories
- Required to work in a fast-paced environment, high volume design/development
- Sourcing of new fabrics and trims
Person Specifications :
- Design experience across casual and formal jackets/ outerwear
- Ladies wear experience essential as well as having some menswear experience
- Previous supplier experience working with large volume retailers.
- Good understanding of garment costing
- Strong attention to detail and able to work in an organised manner
- Excellent communication & organisational skills
