Eventus Recruitment Cheshire are recruiting for a Paraplanner to join a Manchester City Centre based financial planning practice, which is part of a national FTSE 250 organisation. Working closely with a Senior Adviser, you will be responsible for a range of technical tasks and client reports. Hours of work are 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday, with the option to work on a hybrid basis. This is a full-time permanent job role with a supportive and well-established firm. Role Responsibilities

The incoming Paraplanner will provide technical and paraplanning support to ensure that clients and colleagues receive a professional service. Further responsibilities within this Paraplanning job include:

  • Analysing clients needs, developing cash flow models and accurately recording data
  • Researching and analysing financial information
  • Constructing financial planning solutions (investment, retirement, tax and IHT/estate planning) supported by the production of computer models and reports
  • Preparing suitability letters and reports (liaising with administrators), taking full responsibility for the client’s files and back office IT records throughout the advice process
  • Preparing client reviews, updating cash flow models, investment performance reviews and production of supporting reports, discussion documents and computer models
  • Dealing with general client queries and attend client meetings with the Partner as required
  • Working with other practice colleagues to ensure application and provider forms are prepared as required and clients are updated throughout the process
  • Working within and stay up to date with template changes and advice notes
  • Be a key holder for practice office

Person Specification

The successful Paraplanner will have at least 2 years’ experience working in a Paraplanning role and have sounds technical knowledge of Trusts and IHT planning. You should have excellent interpersonal skills and written English skills. Also, you will have the following experience, skills and attributes:

  • Previous Paraplanning experience within a Financial Planning or Wealth Management environment
  • Be familiar with major research systems such as Voyant or FE Analytics
  • Experience of the administration of IHT and Investment products
  • Demonstratable knowledge of relevant regulation and legislation
  • Able to transpose information accurately
  • Strong numeracy skills
  • Confident in dealing with third parties and can work with total discretion
  • Highly organised with excellent communication skills
  • Broad experience of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel);
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Manage time effectively with the ability to multi-task
  • Keeps calm when faced with conflicting demands and handles these effectively
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude at all times
  • Works well on own tasks as well as on shared goals as part of a team
  • Enthusiasm to help clients
