About the Role

A prestigious Legal 500 law firm in Manchester City Centre is seeking a dedicated Solicitor to join its renowned Personal Injury department. This role involves managing a diverse caseload of military injury claims, including PTSD, brain injuries and more. The firm is celebrated for securing substantial compensation for clients and providing exceptional legal services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle Armed Forces Compensation Scheme (AFCS) claims
  • Draft client and witness statements
  • Prepare instructions for medical experts and counsel
  • Attend tribunals and review medical records
  • Conduct legal research and draft client advices
  • Engage in business development and strengthen charitable partnerships

Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor (0-2 Years PQE)
  • Experience in military claims work, including Armed Forces Compensation Scheme (AFCS) and/or Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority (CICA) would be preferred, however training can be provided for those with a willingness to learn and a keen interest in military claims
  • Excellent communication and client care skills
  • Ability to manage a busy caseload and work independently
