About the Role

A prestigious Legal 500 law firm in Manchester City Centre is seeking a dedicated Solicitor to join its renowned Personal Injury department. This role involves managing a diverse caseload of military injury claims, including PTSD, brain injuries and more. The firm is celebrated for securing substantial compensation for clients and providing exceptional legal services.

Key Responsibilities

Handle Armed Forces Compensation Scheme (AFCS) claims
Draft client and witness statements
Prepare instructions for medical experts and counsel
Attend tribunals and review medical records
Conduct legal research and draft client advices
Engage in business development and strengthen charitable partnerships

Requirements

Qualified Solicitor (0-2 Years PQE)
Experience in military claims work, including Armed Forces Compensation Scheme (AFCS) and/or Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority (CICA) would be preferred, however training can be provided for those with a willingness to learn and a keen interest in military claims
Excellent communication and client care skills
Ability to manage a busy caseload and work independently
