My client is looking for a skilled and motivated Revit Technician to join their experienced team in Manchester and contribute to the delivery of high-quality structural projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented individual to advance their career with an innovative and forward-thinking engineering consultancy.

The Role:

As a Revit Technician, you will play a crucial role in developing detailed 3D structural models and 2D drawings using Autodesk Revit. Working closely with structural engineers and project teams, you will ensure designs are accurately represented, coordinated, and compliant with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Produce detailed 3D structural models and 2D drawings using Autodesk Revit.
  • Assist in the preparation of construction documents, including foundation and framing plans, structural details, and schedules.
  • Collaborate with structural engineers and other stakeholders to ensure design integration and project specification compliance.
  • Manage Revit models to ensure accuracy, coordination, and clash-free designs.
  • Create and maintain Revit families for structural elements (beams, columns, foundations, etc.).
  • Conduct clash detection and resolve issues within the 3D model to prevent construction conflicts.
  • Ensure adherence to building codes, structural design standards, and project requirements.
  • Maintain and update Revit templates, libraries, and project files.
Project Delivery & Management:

The successful candidate will work alongside senior engineers to deliver successful projects, contributing to technical execution while also supporting project management aspects such as client relationships, programme management, and financial awareness.

Technical Skills Required:
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, particularly in structural design and drafting.
  • Strong understanding of structural engineering principles (steel, concrete, and timber structures).
  • Experience with BIM processes and workflows, including clash detection and model coordination.
  • Ability to create and manage Revit families and templates.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and other drafting/design software.
