THE ROLE

This role is an exciting opportunity to act as a Risk & Safeguarding Co-ordinator for the organisation, supporting the EAP teams in the daily management of risk and safeguarding for our service users. The primary focus is to ensure the EAP teams are supported through appropriate training and that individuals are working in line with internal clinical governance. The role will act as a source of support across EAP teams - ensuring appropriate actions are taken in line with internal policies.

DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reviewing all risk and safeguarding forms completed across EAP teams and affiliate network to ensure appropriate actions are taken in line with Risk Guidance Policy
  • Acting as a source of support, guidance, and expertise to the EAP Team in risk and safeguarding
  • Ensuring consistency across EAP teams when working with risk and safeguarding and ensure that documented notes remain accurate and up to date
  • Ensuring bespoke risk processes are always followed
  • Completing case audits and risk and safeguarding quality assessments to ensure appropriate referrals to ongoing support are made by counsellors
  • Contributing to staff development, including delivery of new starter and refresher training; ensuring all individuals are confident when working with risk and safeguarding
  • Supporting the risk and safeguarding manager in the review and update of internal risk

Requirements

  • Knowledge of safeguarding children and vulnerable adults and of safeguarding legislation for children and vulnerable adults
  • Completion of minimum level 1 safeguarding training, with desire to work towards level 3 safeguarding training if not already achieved
  • Ability to deliver presentations confidently whilst engaging the audience
  • Excellent IT skills including use of Outlook, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Excellent communication skills via telephone, face to face and written communications
  • Exceptional organisation skills, excellent time management, ability to work to tight deadline/targets, and complete project work to a consistently high standard with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
