Senior Developer | FinTec | circa £60,000 | Remote | .NET / React

I am recruiting on behalf of a FinTech company that is looking for a Senior Developer to join their team.

You will work closely with the Lead Developer and play a key role in the creation of new features and the maintenance of existing ones across the companys diverse range of products.
Youll be working with a range of technologies including .NET Core, ASP.NET, React, Javascript, Azure (amongst many others) and have the opportunity to learn new skills.

This role would suit a Developer with .NET and React experience who has built products within a regulated domain such as finance / payroll, although, this industry experience is not essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop new features and maintain existing functionality across their existing products
  • Identify and suggest improvements within the systems to enhance performance and user experience.
  • Lead or support the development of various projects, ensuring high standards of code quality.
  • Mentor and train junior developers, helping them advance their skills and careers.
Required Skills:
  • 4-5 years of commercial experience in software development.
  • Strong expertise in Microsoft technologies including .NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, Entity Framework, and LINQ.
  • Proven experience with SQL and database design.
  • Good understanding of React.js and core web technologies like JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS.
  • Experience working with Web APIs and integrating various software applications.
  • Experience in mentoring/coaching or leading teams
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of clean code practices, design patterns, and SOLID principles.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
  • Previous experience in sectors like recruitment, finance, payroll, or accounting would be a bonus
  • Experience with front-end frameworks like Vue.js, Angular, or Blazor.
  • Familiarity with cloud services (Azure), CI/CD pipelines, and modern security practices.
  • Exposure to mobile development technologies such as Xamarin, Flutter, or React Native.
This role is mainly remote with occasional travel to Manchester required.
