The role will lead a small but growing team and will need the successful applicant to be hands on in day to day operations initially. They have had consistent growth and they are still growing but to continue this growth successfully they have acknowledged the need for a true merchandise planning function. It is almost a blank canvas for the successful candidate...Responsibilities

  • Manage intake flow into business to hit monthly forecasts, drive sales and minimise risks
  • Planning of budgets by category, option count, and depth of buy based on the overall business and financial goals of the company.
  • Identifying category risks and opportunities; recommending activity to increase sales and profit and decrease stock risk.
  • Recommends promotions and re buys as necessary
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to manage new products, limited edition lines and season campaigns, escalating and resolving issues and communicating progress.
  • Collaborate with the broader product team to plan product ranges, taking into account customer demand, pricing, and margin requirements.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Core retail merchandise planning experience, preferably in both corporate and SME settings
  • Working in a merchandise planning start up environment
  • Experience of leading a team
  • Building merchandise planning tools from scratch
  • Working in a fast paced, trading environment
  • Working with product coming from the Far East, sub continent and near East
