Our client is looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior Road Operator to join their Manchester branch.
The Senior Road Operator will be responsible for coordinating and executing road transportation operations, ensuring timely delivery of goods in a safe and efficient manner.

Responsibilities
- Coordinate, plan, and execute road transportation operations, including route planning, load scheduling, and driver assignments
- Monitor and review transportation costs, maintain budgetary compliance, and optimize performance
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, vehicle maintenance, and driver training programs
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, external carriers, and customers to ensure smooth operations and timely deliveries
- Actively seek opportunities for process improvements and cost-saving initiatives
- Provide leadership and guidance to a team of road operators and drivers, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in logistics and transportation, with a focus on road operations
- Proven track record of coordinating and executing road transportation operations
- Strong understanding of logistics management and supply chain principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to analyse data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions
- Proficient in using logistics software and MS Office Suite
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards in transportation
