Prospero Teaching is currently working with a specialist Sensory Support Unit in Levenshulme. They are recruiting for a Special Needs Teaching Assistant to support primary students In the sensory support unit, you will be working with deaf children supported by the unit. Ideally you have experience of working with children in the Early Years and children with additional needs. You will be required to have a basic level of sign language for this role. Each afternoon you will be required to work with two pupils who are deaf and attend the school nursery. You will need an understanding of the early years curriculum and be able to work off plans prepared by the teacher to support the two students on your own each afternoon.
