Job Opportunity: Experienced Solicitor - Serious Injury/Clinical Negligence TeamLocation: Flexible (1 day a month)Position Type: Full-Time, PermanentSalary: up to £45k We are excited to offer an exceptional opportunity with my client, a successful and growing niche legal practice based in Manchester. Due to continued expansion, we are seeking an experienced Solicitor to join our Serious Injury/Clinical Negligence team. This is an excellent role for a qualified solicitor with 5-10 years PQE and significant recent multi-track experience.As a multi-service law firm with a loyal national and international client base, we offer a modern, professional work environment with huge scope for progression. This role allows for flexibility in your working arrangements, with the option for home-based or office-based work, and only one day per month required in the office.Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of serious injury and clinical negligence matters from inception to conclusion
  • Support the Team Leader in running the department and collaborate with colleagues
  • Assess liability and quantum, reviewing medical reports and conducting legal research
  • Maximise personal billing to meet departmental income targets
  • Regular communication with clients to ensure exceptional service levels
  • Engage with a multidisciplinary team, including medical experts, case managers, and counsel
  • Draft legal documents such as statements, pleadings, and schedules of loss
  • Secure interim payments and coordinate rehabilitation
  • Utilise Proclaim system in line with the firm's policies, mentoring junior staff when necessary

Ideal Candidate:

  • 5-10 years PQE with experience in multi-track serious injury and clinical negligence cases
  • Strong commercial awareness and excellent client care skills
  • Experience working with Proclaim and providing guidance to junior team members
  • Excellent technical ability in RTA, ELPL, and Clinical Negligence matters
