An established and growing company in the lift industryis seeking an experienced SHEQ Manager to join their team based in Manchester. This full-time role offers a salary of £45,000£55,000 per year and benefits aimed at supporting both your professional and personal growth.

The ideal candidate will have relevant industry experience, preferably within the lift industry and a strong background in quality, environmental, health, and safety standards. A proven track record in audits and compliance will be essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities of the SHEQ Manager:
  • Develop and implement the organisations SHEQ strategy to achieve safety goals, environmental targets, and injury reduction objectives.
  • Provide technical expertise and advice on SHEQ management to employees and managers, ensuring alignment with health and safety standards.
  • Conduct, design, and plan audit processes while training key team members and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work with customers and external stakeholders to ensure the company meets its safety and community responsibilities.
  • Enhance and maintain an innovative SHEQ management system, including the development of robust policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate business inspection audits and report on key metrics, including accident trends, audits, and progress toward SHEQ goals.
Experience and Qualifications:
  • NEBOSH required
  • Knowledge of environmental standards (e.g., IEMA Certificate or equivalent).
  • Auditor-level experience with ISO 9001:2015 (required), 14001:2015, and 45001:2018 (desirable).
  • up to date EHSQ practices and legislations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and strong communication skills.
  • experience in the lift industry is preferred
