Solicitor – Head of Housing DisrepairLocation: Manchester Spinningfields (commutable from Manchester, Liverpool, Chester) Douglas Scott is delighted to partner exclusively with a dynamic firm in Manchester seeking a Solicitor with expertise in Housing Disrepair matters. This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of the firm and make a lasting impact on its growth and direction over the next 6, 12, and 24 months. Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage Housing Disrepair cases, both pre-litigated and litigated.
  • Assist in the building and management of several HDR fee earners
  • Strategically expand and develop the firm's Housing Disrepair department.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience handling Housing Disrepair cases.
  • Visionary leadership skills and the ability to grow and develop a team.
  • A proactive approach to dealing with and drafting various interlocutory applications
  • Liaising with Counsel and providing coherent instructions when necessary.
  • Complete autonomy with instruction through to settlement
  • Dealing with complex cases
  • Dealing with small claims, fast and multitrack cases
