GI Group are hiring for a number of Yard Operatives on behalf of a well known car auction site in the Manchester area, on an ongoing basisMon-Fri0730-1630 or 0900-1800£11.42 per hour OngoingDays required:5 days per week Monday - FridayThis is an ongoing opportunity for the right candidate.Job Description:* Store and park all vehicles on site between the yard and the auction halls, via agreed valet/wash services, so that vehicles enter and leave the auction halls in accordance with the notified sale day programme* Bar code all new vehicles on arrival and tag keys* Electronically Log and remove any valuable items left in vehicle* Be responsible for jump starting vehicles when needed, on-site training provided* Line vehicles ready up for auction in the appropriate manor* Maintain a safe driving standard and adhere to speed limits on site at all times. Take care and responsibility of all cars in your care and adhere to site and national speed limits at all times* Ensure that the Company's health and safety standards and practices are adhered to everywhere on site* Undertake any other tasks in the yard department to ensure that operational requirements are metTechnical skills:* Able to follow instructions and work to tight deadlines* Quality of work/attention to detail* Be comfortable driving automatic and manual vehicles* Confident to drive light commercial vehicles* Able to work alone and as part of a team* Willingness to help other departments when needed* Computer literate*Must be able to driver Automatics & ManualsKnowledge and Experience:* Valid full UK drivers licence (2 years minimum)If you are interested in this role, please apply online for immediate consideration
