Central Employment are delighted to be working with an award-winning Integrated Communications and Creative Agency in Manchester, as they look to appoint a client facing PR Account Manager. PR Account Manager profile: 

  • The PR Account Manager is responsible for delivering effective PR strategies for our clients with proven outcomes.
  • You will be responsible for maintaining our PR efforts. You will be a strategic thinker with a passion for storytelling, strong communication skills, and a proven track record of securing media coverage and building relationships with key stakeholders.
  • A positive role model to all members of staff, you will provide support and guidance to juniors as well as helping manage their workload and key responsibilities.

Main Responsibilities as a PR Account Manager: 

  • Demonstrate real-time knowledge of all client activities, ensure status documents are updated, run client status meetings, and take ownership for initiatives
  • Organised, punctual and a strong client-lead, you must take pride in developing relevant and engaging content plans, which align to the clients strategy and ensure you are at the forefront of PR
  • Develop, alongside your AD/Comms Director, strategic and tactical client proposals, plans and calendars.
  • Drive journalist relationship-building initiatives within the team, across your full client portfolio, display an excellent knowledge of the media landscape, develop solid media relationships, and oversee the effective running of your team’s entire media relations process.
  • Write and pitch excellent quality, relevant story angles to targeted media, displaying creativity and an understanding of newsworthiness.
  • Analyse PR performance metrics and prepare monthly reports to track the effectiveness of campaigns and identify areas for improvement.
  • Drive participation in client meetings, managing meeting protocols, agendas, etc
  • Ensure daily coverage tracking, regular reports and timely client coverage updates are executed
  • Actively look to maintain and build positive working relationships with colleagues.
  • Work closely with clients as a key partner, nurturing and owning existing client relationships and establishing new ones, bringing extraordinary thinking to life. Identify up-selling opportunities linked to client KPIs and business challenges by attending key meetings and remaining in regular contact.
  • Display an ability to draft excellent proposals and pitch presentation skills, in conjunction with your AD/Comms Director.
  • Demonstrate an ability to act as a role model and mentor for junior staff, and be seen as an ambassador for the company.

Essential Experience: 

  • 3+ years of agency experience in traditional PR and Outreach (digital PR knowledge is desirable but not necessary).
  • 2+ years experience in strategy, budgeting, KPI setting.
  • Proficiency in B2B and B2C PR.
  • Strong reporting and analytical skills.
  • Experience in client management and campaign execution.
  • A keen interest in staying updated with the latest news trends.
  • Eagerness to dive into new clients and campaigns.
  • Strong analytical skills and data driven mindset, with the ability to analyse PR performance metrics and prepare monthly reports to track the effectiveness of campaigns and identify areas for improvement.
  • Team leading and Line Management experience, in anticipation of being a senior member of a growing team.
