A leading global chemical manufacturer is seeking a Process Controls Engineer to join its team in Manchester. Key Responsibilities- Provide technical support for control systems at the Manchester plant (UK)
- Actively participate in safety programs, promoting best practices and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of control systems at the site.
- Implement and test control system changes for equipment upgrades, capacity expansion, new product introductions, and process improvements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system performance issues, supporting operational teams and technicians.
- Conduct system analysis, improvement studies, and front-end design work, collaborating with external contractors and consultants.
- Develop, maintain, and optimise control system implementations, procedures, and maintenance plans.
- Monitor and improve instrumentation and control loop performance to enhance system efficiency.
- Design and implement advanced control solutions to optimise production processes.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A degree (or equivalent) in Engineering.
- 3-5 years of experience maintaining control systems in an industrial setting.
- Experience with Siemens PCS7 DCS (highly preferred).
- Strong leadership and teamwork skills with a results-driven approach.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
