Interim Production Planner

Manchester

350 per day plus expenses

This is an immediate need for an experienced production planner with food industry or FMCG background. In this fast-paced environment you will be responsible for daily production planning and inventory management and need to be agile and react at speed.

The Interim Production Planner is responsible for:

  • Formation of the production plan for maximum efficiency and labour productivity.
  • Managing stock levels and ensuring accurate inventory levels are consistently up-to-date ensuring visibility of data at all times.
  • Keep in close contact with factory progress to ensure service levels are met.
  • Process all customer orders and amend the forecast when required.
  • Ensure accurate raw material data is communicated to procurement.
  • Communicate professionally and timely with the customer.
  • Plan in and around hygiene and engineering works.
  • Maintain focus and awareness on trends and customer order patterns.
  • Be the main point of contact for all departments.
  • Daily communication with suppliers to keep ahead of orders, avoiding any stock supply issues and ensuring levels meet demand.

What you need to apply

  • Previous experience as a production planner in the food, FMCG or Automotive (1st or 2nd tier).
  • Enjoy working with and able to interpret data.
  • Experience of planning software and systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Strong communication skills - written and oral.
