A rapidly expanding, successful group that encompasses all aspects of the meat trade is recruiting order pickers at our site in Irlam, Manchester, to join our weekend day shift.

Our business, which is a catering butcher, has over 100 years of experience in the meat and farming industries. All products are prepared in the factory daily to each customer's specifications, packaged and labelled to and above legislation, and delivered directly throughout the UK.

Role Overview

The main responsibilities of this order picker/packer role are:

  • Picking and collating orders for customers within required targets from customer order sheets.
  • Accurately recording information onto the customer order sheets.
  • Packing meat using the vacuum packing machine.
  • Recording weights and volume outputs.
  • Applying date labels and traceability labels to products.
  • Following company policies, procedures, and standards in the Company Quality System and factory personal hygiene and food safety regulations.
  • Reporting quality issues and helping the relevant management in identifying solutions to any problems identified.

Essential Skills
