Location:
Field based, predominantly covering North West.
Salary: Circa £39k - £43k dependent on experience.
Contract: Full time, permanent. Typical Hours of work Monday-Friday 08.00-1700 hours.

We are currently seeking to recruit a Fire Defence / Electrical Engineer to work predominantly in the North West region to provide scheduled and reactive maintenance services.

Beara Properties are a property maintenance services business based in Sharston, Manchester.

We provide a wide range of property maintenance services to residential developments.

We have a large mobile service delivery team who provide both scheduled (M&E) and reactive maintenance and repairs across their customer sites.

Beara Properties work on over 400 residential developments across Cheshire, Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Merseyside and Yorkshire.

Beara Properties are an accredited Safe Contractor company and comply with their Health & Safety standards.

Beara Properties are a ‘preferred contractor’ of Residential Management Group (RMG) and other leading Managing Agents.

Engineers job description, including their routine daily duties:

•  Working to Planned, Preventative and Reactive maintenance regimes. Repair and servicing of mechanical & electrical (M&E) equipment, PPM, and Reactive (17th or 18th Edition required)
•  Maintaining Lighting, Fire alarms, CCTV and Access Control systems within residential developments.
•  Inspection service testing of Fire alarms, CCTV, Access control systems & Emergency lighting and subsequent reporting.
•  Carry out Fire Defence & Emergency lighting repairs
•  Complete necessary paperwork and maintenance logs to be submitted back to the office (digital via Job Management App).
•  Working closely with other team members.
•  Carry out site surveys leading to quotation.

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

Key skills & experience required:

•  In depth technical knowledge of maintaining addressable and conventional fire alarms, CCTV (analogue and IP), Door Entry & Access Control Systems
•  IEE 16th, 17th or 18th Edition regulations preferable
•  City & Guilds Level 3 essential or NVQ Level 3
•  Full, clean UK drivers’ licence.
•  4 years’ experience working with fire & security systems.
•  Ability to fault find and repair systems.
•  High level of discretion and judgement.
•  Health and Safety aware.
•  Computer literate.
•  Good planning and time management skills.
•  Competent to work with team members, sub-contractors and apprentices whilst also being able to work unsupervised.
