Description

  • Developing and implementing health and safety policies
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant H&S legislation
  • Conducting risk assessments and site inspections
  • Providing training and guidance to staff on H&S procedures
  • Investigating incidents and producing detailed reports
  • Monitoring and reviewing H&S performance
  • Continually improving the company's safety culture
  • Liaising with regulatory bodies as necessary

Profile

  • Ensure legal compliance for health and safety in the workplace by conducting regular audits and inspections to make sure the highest standards are consistently maintained.
  • Lead training with new and existing members of staff whilst identifying and assisting in any staff development opportunities.
  • Promote our proactive "Zero Harm" culture across all departments.
  • Ensure incident investigations are conducted promptly, including root cause analysis and corrective action is undertaken.
  • Creation, implementation and review of Risk Assessments, safe working procedures and method statements
  • Delivery of the company Health and Safety strategy and initiation for the site
  • Review all existing company Health & Safety documentation and update accordingly in line with our statutory obligations including CDM Regulations
  • Ensure that all "assessments" as required by legislation are conducted and reviewed at relevant intervals.
  • Visit each Project site conduct regular health and safety inspections/audits and prepare detailed H&S audit reports.
  • Review of all RAMS and COSHH assessments and update where necessary
  • Carry out investigations into all accidents and near-miss incidents and record the findings on the relevant forms
