Location: North Manchester
Salary: Up to £35k
Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an HSE Officer to join a well-established FMCG manufacturing business based in North Manchester. The company is renowned for delivering a niche and exciting product and works closely with some of the biggest suppliers in the industry.

Key Responsibilities of a HSE Officer:

  • Drive a health & safety culture: Promote adherence to health & safety policies and procedures across the site.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor the Environmental and Safety Management System, procedures, documentation, and audit system.
  • EH&S compliance evaluations: Conduct inspections and audits, coordinating outputs and ensuring actions are completed by site management.
  • Improve EH&S standards: Advise on improvements to working practices, continuously raising the bar on safety and environmental practices.
  • Risk assessments: Identify risks, conduct risk assessments, and encourage a ‘near miss reporting’ culture throughout the company.

Successful HSE Officer will be:

  • Qualified to a NEBOSH General Certificate
  • IOSH Managing Safely
  • Competent in Accident Investigating | Knowledge of Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work completion
