Aspire People are in partnership with a secondary school in North Manchester is looking for a dedicated Behaviour Teaching Assistant to join their team and make a real difference in students' lives.
About the Role:
As a Behaviour Teaching Assistant, you will support students from diverse backgrounds who need help re-engaging with their learning. Working closely with teachers and pastoral staff, you'll provide academic and behavioural support, helping students develop the skills and confidence needed to succeed in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with challenging behaviour and SEMH needs.
* Assist students in core subjects such as Maths, English, and Science, ensuring they remain on track academically.
* Build positive relationships to encourage engagement, resilience, and self-confidence.
* Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to implement effective behaviour management strategies.
* Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
Requirements:
* Previous experience working with students with challenging behaviour or SEMH is essential.
* Strong academic skills in Maths, English, and Science to support students effectively.
* Resilience, patience, and a calm, proactive approach to managing behaviour.
* A DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one for an immediate start).
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
