Job Title: Children's Social Worker - Locality Team

Location: Greater Manchester

Hourly Rate: 40+/Hourly

We are seeking a replacement for a key member of a Children's Locality Team in Greater Manchester.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled and experienced social worker to join a team committed to providing high-quality support for children and families. You'll work within a supportive environment where agency staff are treated with the same respect and integration as permanent staff. (The current agency work is retiring hence the need to recruit)

Key Requirements:

Experience: At least 2 years of post-qualification experience in a Children's Services role.

Skills: Confidence in handling Child Protection (CP) cases, Child in Need (CIN) cases, and Court proceedings is essential for this role.

Preferred: Experience with the Family Safeguarding Model is highly desirable, but not essential.

Role Details:

Caseload: Caseloads are well-managed with a focus on keeping them below 20 cases. Currently, the team's highest caseload is 19.

Hybrid Working: While the role offers hybrid working flexibility, we are looking for a candidate available full-time, 5 days a week. However, we are open to discussing a 9-day fortnight working pattern.

Start Date: The ideal candidate is needed ASAP, but we understand that some candidates may need to provide 2-3 weeks' notice as part of the Greater Manchester pledge, and we are happy to wait for the right person.

Why Join Us?

Supportive Leadership & Team Environment: The team offers group supervisions and has a fully established and permanent management structure, ensuring strong leadership and consistent support.

Flexible Working: Hybrid working options and a supportive approach to work-life balance.

Free Parking: On-site parking is provided free of charge.

Comprehensive Onboarding & Training: New starters, including agency staff, receive the same high level of training and integration as permanent staff.

Competitive hourly rate: Please discuss your rate with Liam as want to attract the best person for this opportunity.

If you would like to have a catch up regarding this opportunity or wish to have a confidential chat then please get in touch on (phone number removed) and ask for Liam Woods. Due to high demand this role is unlikely to remain on the market for long.

Alternatively if you're not looking, you may know a colleague who might be able to benefit from knowing about these positions and I offer a referral bonus of 200 if I place your referral!
