Job Title: Graduate Teaching Assistant
Location: Manchester
Pay Rate: £95 per day
A dynamic secondary school in Manchester is looking for a motivated Graduate Teaching Assistant to support teaching and learning in various subjects. This role is ideal for graduates considering a career in education, offering valuable classroom experience while helping students in Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4) reach their academic potential.
Responsibilities:
- Support classroom teachers by assisting with lesson delivery, working with small groups or individual students
- Help with planning and preparing learning materials, adapting resources to meet student needs, particularly those with SEND
- Provide 1:1 support to students with additional learning needs, ensuring they engage with lesson content
- Monitor and track student progress, offering feedback and helping students stay focused and motivated
- Foster a positive learning environment by promoting good behavior and encouraging students to take an active role in their education
Requirements:
- A degree in any subject, with a strong desire to pursue a career in education
- Experience or interest in working with young people, ideally within a school setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents
- A proactive, adaptable attitude with a commitment to supporting student achievement and well-being
- Enthusiasm for education and helping students reach their full potential
