About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant, Cover Supervisor, or recent graduate with school-based experience to take on a challenging and rewarding role. As an HLTA, you will:
* Deliver lessons and manage classes in the absence of the teacher, ensuring continuity in students' learning.
* Support students with SEND and challenging behaviour, implementing strategies to meet individual needs.
* Follow the school's behaviour policy to maintain a productive and respectful learning environment.
* Work closely with teachers and the wider support team to provide a high standard of education for all students.
Key Requirements:
* Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or Cover Supervisor in a secondary school setting.
* Experience working with students with SEND and challenging behaviour is essential.
* Ability to manage a classroom and deliver pre-prepared lessons confidently.
* Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to supporting students and staff.
* A valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one for an immediate start).
