Role: SEND TeachingAssistant
Location: Manchester
Qualiteach is currently looking for an experienced SEND Teachingassistant for a secondary school based in the Manchester area. The role is due to begin on 28/10/2024 and is offered on a full-time, ongoing basis 5 days per week until the summer.
The school are looking for someone who can quickly build rapport and engage with their students, helping and supporting them with various requirements. Pupils may display challenging behaviour and the chosen individual will need to have experience in this area with knowledge of de-escalation techniques. Some pupils may have SEND including autism, ADHD & dyslexia and experience in this area is also preferred.
You will be working with pupils on both a 1-1 basis and in small groups.
Key requirements:
- Experience of working with secondary age pupils at KS3/4
- Strong behaviour management
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to build rapport quickly
- Strong engagement skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Available from 28/10/2024 in the Manchester area
- Flexible and adaptable in your approach
- Hold right to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS certificate on the update service
