Are you a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant looking for flexible work in South Manchester schools? We have exciting opportunities for Teaching Assistants to join our team on a supply basis, with the potential to secure long-term placements.

Role: Teaching Assistant
Location: South Manchester
Contract Type: Supply with potential for long-term opportunities

About the Role: As a Teaching Assistant, you will work across various primary and secondary schools in South Manchester, providing support to teachers and pupils. You will assist with classroom management, help deliver lessons, and support students’ academic and social development. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking for flexible, varied work with the possibility of securing a longer-term position.

Responsibilities:

  • Support teachers in delivering lessons and classroom activities
  • Assist students with their learning and development on a one-to-one or group basis
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment
  • Provide additional support to students with special educational needs (SEN) as required
  • Supervise students during activities, breaks, and lunch times
  • Build strong, positive relationships with both staff and students

About You:

  • Previous experience working with children in a classroom setting is desirable
  • A passion for working with young people and helping them succeed
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to adapt to different school environments
  • A flexible, proactive attitude and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant) is preferred, but not essential
