Experienced Teaching Assistant KS1 & KS2

*Are you a SEND TA with experience working in an SEMH, or SEND school setting?

The ideal Teaching Assistant should be knowledgeable of safety interventions and have experience in an SEN educational setting. Experience using recording systems and implementing strategies. Successful candidates will, amongst other things, be responsible for; supporting students with SEN and challenging behaviours in small group settings on or off site or on a 1:1 basis

Do you have experience creating or implementing plans, working in a supportive role, like support for learning, or literacy/numeracy interventions? We love to hear about your achievements

Applicants should have good communication skills, a passion for teaching and learning and the ability to work with students of all ages and backgrounds. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to gain further experience in the education field of explore different roles

Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting students with SEN and challenging behaviours on a 1:1 basis or in small group settings
  • Assisting in the delivery of classroom based and outdoor educational activities
  • Promoting a positive learning environment and nurturing the social and emotional development of students
  • Collaborating with teachers, TAs and parents to ensure effective support and progress
  • Working with a team to create a safe, supportive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Experience in SEN/SEMH School environment
  • Knowledge of OR experience with safety interventions. (verbal de-escalation/Physical intervention)
  • Resilience and adaptability to challenging situations. Working with young learners requires patience.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Computer literate; familiar with Word, PowerPoint and using email

AND one or more of the following:

  • GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English and Maths
  • NVQ level 4 or equivalent / BTEC qualifications in either education, childcare, social work, social care, counselling or youth work

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £105.00-£120.00 per day
